Bal Bigyan opens new library

Our previous posting reported on the good work of our two Tutors at Bal Bigyan schoool, Babita and Bashu who are constantly working to develp the school as a child centred institution. None of this would be possible without a progressive Head teacher and Parsuram Baral certainly qualifies in this respect.
About one year ago we came across a rather sorry looking room in the school with one small bookcase and only one of it’s shelves half full of books. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA So, we set Parsuram a challenge which was to create a well equipped library room that would contain reference materials for both children and teachers alike. We gave him funding to select and purchase around 50 books at that time and the top photo shows Champa handing the delivery over to him.
Now, one year on, the chairman of governors has just inaugurated the new library and you can see a room now with more books and educational posters all round the room
Another example of leadership and UK fundraising creating an environment of quality education!

Bal Bigyan is leading the way! We will look forward to hearing how staff and pupils are using the library and more importantly how it impacts on learning and motivation.
Now we are excited to see how the classrooms develop too!
CONGRATULATIONS BAL BIGYAN :-)
